PillageWiki

Getting started

Your first hour in Pillage — from wallet login to your first raid.

Pillage runs on your Solana wallet — connect it and sign the login message, and your account is your wallet. No passwords, no email. When the play gate is enforced, entry requires holding roughly $30 of $PILLAGE in that wallet.

Your first village

On login you found a fresh village with 500 of each resource in storage. Your Barracks already stands at level 1, so you can recruit Spearmen from minute one. The Stable, Academy and Market start unbuilt — you'll unlock them as your Headquarters grows.

Follow the quests

The quest chain is your tutorial and your first economy boost rolled into one. Each step pays out resources and comes with a "take me there" button that jumps you straight to the right screen — work through it before improvising.

What to build first

  • Resource pits first — timber camp, clay pit and iron mine are the engine everything else runs on.
  • Warehouse early — a full warehouse wastes every hour of production, so keep the cap ahead of your income.
  • A batch of Spearmen from the Barracks — cheap raiders and your first line of defense.
  • Farm whenever population runs tight — every building and every troop eats into the budget.

Raid the barbarians

Barbarian villages dot the map around you and nobody avenges them. Open the Farm tab to find nearby ones and send your Spearmen out early and often — raided loot outpaces your own pits for the whole early game.

Finally, join a tribe. Allies answer your support calls, share intel, and make you a far less appetizing target. A solo village is just loot waiting to happen.

Before you ever raid another player, scout them first — a cheap scouting run reveals their troops and saves you from marching into a wall of spears. See the Scouting page.
